TravelShop Turkey from Turkey, winner of the BID Century International Quality
ERA Award in Geneva 2014
Geneva hosted this year's BID Century International Quality ERA Convention,
where professionals and business leaders from around the world gathered to
recognize excellence and success. In particular, the convention celebrated
quality in business and operations. Award winners demonstrated commitment to the
criteria of the QC100 TQM Model, which helps bolster customer satisfaction and
cost efficiency across all areas of operation.
Among this year's winners, Murtaza Kalender of TravelShop Turkey, from Turkey,
received the Century International Quality ERA Award in the Gold Category at the
BID Quality Convention in Geneva. The organization has made huge strides this
year as a leader not only within its sector, but also in Turkey. The Award came
as an ideal way to celebrate this past years successes while looking forward to
putting quality first in the year to come.
BID chose Geneva, one of Europe's most historically important cities, to host
the Century International Quality ERA Convention. Geneva has been home to some
of the most significant events in modern political history, and is the
birthplace of Humanitarian Law. Additionally, Geneva is home to the European
headquarters of many international organizations, such as The United Nations,
The World Economic Forum, and the International Committee of the Red Cross. This
international diversity and commitment to global affairs made Geneva the ideal
backdrop for the BID International Convention for Quality, which brought
together leaders from around the world.
TravelShop Turkey won the Century International Quality ERA Award in the Gold
category in Geneva in the company of other leaders and representatives from 49
countries at the Century International Quality ERA Convention. The prestigious
award, representing the height of quality and innovation in a field, is
presented by BID President and CEO, Jose E. Prieto. From left to right: Craig

Murtaza Kalender stood before the gathering of international leaders, sharing
the company's achievements to date as well as its future ambitions and goals.
Despite the difficult current global economic climate, TravelShop Turkey strives

For this reason, TravelShop Turkey won the 2014 BID Century International
Quality ERA Award in Geneva. The Award is presented by BID to those companies
and organizations from around the world that best adhere to excellence and
innovation in their practices, putting quality first at all levels of

respective sectors. This year, winning organizations include:
Prodiaman Oil Services, from Angola. Angolan conglomerate operating
predominantly in the oil and gas and mining industries. Prodiaman actively
partners with foreign and private investors including the likes of Norwegian
giant Aker Solutions and Clariant, a Swiss oils services company with a turnover
of over $8 billion, to provide excellent services to customers of all sectors in
which it operates.
The companies honored in Geneva were recognized not only for their
entrepreneurial achievements, but also for their dedication to continuous
improvement and innovation, key concepts of the QC100 Total Quality Management
Model. Seeking to increase customer satisfaction and optimize efficiency, the

to improving processes.
